Lucille DiGiamberardino graduated from the Philadelphia Dance Academy and Combs Conservatory of Music and received an Associative Degree in Dance Education and a Bachelor of Music.
After graduation, she was on staff at the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts teaching Voice and Piano. She directed and choreographed many shows in the Philadelphia area whilst also singing in numerous jazz clubs in the city as well as being a headliner at Palumbo's. Her next move was to Syracuse NY where Lucille became an adjunct professor at the Syracuse University Drama Department and once again directed, starred in, and choreographed shows at the Landmark Theater, Syracuse University, and the Metropolitan Theater of the Performing Arts. Lucille sang in theater venues, restaurants, and nightclubs throughout the upstate NY area.
Lucille opened up Lucille’s Café in Lancaster in the 1980s where she sang and had jazz and classical musicians, visual artists, and poets entertain her customers. She was the first woman-owned café at the time in the Lancaster area. Ms. DiGiamberardino went to Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work and received her master's degree in Social Work. Lucille had a private psychotherapy practice and also worked for the Department of Defense as a private contractor to serve Military members (Army, Air Force, and Navy) and their families as a PTSD specialist and family therapist. Lucille retired and began her nomadic life throughout the USA and around the world. She lived in several different states and in many European destinations. She sang throughout her travels including Morocco, Belgium, France, Italy, and England.
Presently, Lucille serves on the Board of Directors as Vice President for the Berks Arts Council. Ms. DiGiamberardino currently produces and hosts her own BCTV show- "Artists Speak Out" which centers around interviewing various artists from the USA and Abroad. She is a Jazz Vocalist and performs locally in restaurants, cafes, and private events. Lucille is a feminist poet and is currently writing her memoirs for her forthcoming book. Ms. DiGiamberardino recently won second place in the Ms. Senior Pennsylvania Pageant. Back to Judges
